F.A.Q

  • What To Bring
    Please arrive 30-45 minutes before the tryout to confirm your registration. Players are expected to come with a pumped-up soccer ball, soccer cleats, shin guards, and proper soccer/athletic attire. All players are required to bring sufficient water to stay hydrated.
  • What To Expect
    The Head Coach will select his/her team with the assistance of the Directors of Coaching of the Rush. Tryouts for all U11 players and players outside the club will take place during certain times of the year. Due to the evaluation process, tryouts are not required for currently registered U12 and older Competitive Rush players during tryout week. However, if a current Rush Competitive player wishes to move to another team, they are encouraged to attend tryouts, as it is the final step in the evaluation process.   • When Can I Join?
    Any player who is interested in joining the Rush Competitive division can do so at any time. No need to wait until tryouts. Players are invited to train with a Rush team in their respective age group to determine the best developmental placement for them. Please contact us and we will connect you with the appropriate DOC to help begin this process.

  • What Happens After Tryouts are Completed?
    You will get an email regarding team you were selected. You will be either selected for: Competitive or Pre-Competitive If you are looking for recreational soccer then you dont need a tryout. You can always join recreational program www.kidsFanBaseSoccer.com
  • What is the difference between Competitive and Pre-Competitive
    Competitive Training/Week: 2 Games: Sat/Sun any time Games Location: Bay Area, CA Training Period: 17-22 weeks Games: 8-10 Pre-Competitive Training/Week: 1 Games: Sat PM Games Location: Cupertino, CA Training Period: 17-22 weeks Games: 16
  • What is the training period
    Fall Season: Mid July - Mid Dec ( or Till the last game of the season) Spring Season: Jan End - Mid June (or Till the last game of the season)
  • How Often do we practice
    Twice per week. Exact day is dependent on team
  • What is the cost for the season?
    There are 2 season per year. Fall and Spring. Cost per season is $1200 includes: Club Registration League Registration Field Fees 2 training per week League Games Referee Club Fees ** Cost is 1300 if registered for only 1 season (Fall/Spring) ** Cost is 1200/season if registered for the whole year Additional Cost for jersey is $150 Jersey Home Jersey Away Jersey Shorts Socks
  • Why Santa Clara Rush?
    1) Small Team size: We keep roster small compared to others so that every player get individual attention for their development. Many clubs keep roster size more than twice of team size, We keep team size smaller so that everyone get good play time and not spend game time on bench. 2. Best Coaches: Our coaches have proven track record. Check our Coaches page 3. Building Community: We believe in building team first before anything with great coaches and parents who understand the value of team building. It keeps players motivated and create fun play date for them.
  • What is the Refund policy
    Refunds are only granted for relocation and medical reasons with documentation. Fixed cost are non refundable. Refund are around 30-50% less than prorated cost.
  • What is the policy if cancelled due to rain or heat etc
    There are situation when we have to cancel practice due to heat, rain, coaches are sick or busy. There is absolutely no refund for cancelled practice. However we try to send backup coaches when team coach is unavailable try to schedule a make up class. It is dependent on the availability of back up coaches so we dont guarentee a make up class.
  • Is there any financial aid available
    There are fixed number of financial aid available and is dependent on income.
  • Is there any discount?
    Those who vounteer for our club can get upto 10% discount on their registration fees. Those role could be team manager, assistant coach etc
